So over the bridge and not so far away in Hull the title of City of culture may be over but the city aren’t prepared to let the culture go. There will be some brilliant events coming up worth travelling 45 minutes for.
One of those events is Back To Ours Festival which hosts a number of events around Hull at random places with great acts and goings on.
One of the main events for this year’s Back to Ours festival is Rev and the makers performing at North Point Shopping centre.
On Fri 16 Feb, 7.30pm (£7.50) at the North Point Shopping Centre in Hull, Reverend & The Makers will be shaking up Back To Ours with their distinctive fusion of indie rock, electro and dance. Formed by vocalist and songwriter Jon McClure – mentor to Alex Turner of Arctic Monkeys fame – the band’s debut album The State Of Things made them a household name, with UK Top 10 anthemic single Heavyweight Champion Of The World shaking the music world by the scruff of the neck. BSL interpreted.
For more shows including kids comedy, misc and music.
Tickets for the festival go on sale from 12pm on Wed 10 Jan and can also be purchased at the remote box office in Hull Interchange from 12pm to 6pm.
Be warned though “Back To Ours” tickets sell very quick.
